MAY has been the best-ever operational month for United Airlines in terms of on-time departures and arrivals, as well as overall completed departures, according to Andy Studdert, United’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. Offering more than 1 800 flights a day to destinations around the globe, United completed 99,56% of flight departures in May, with 76% of these early or on time. During this month, United also had the fewest number of delays and cancellations related to maintenance operations in the history of the airline. (Heather Ruddock)
