New suites at Malawi Hotel

SHORTLY after taking over management of the Malawi Development Corporation Hotels from Protea Hotels on December 1 last year, Le Meridian announced the completion of five new suites at the Livingstonia Beach Hotel. The five suites are beach-facing and were upgraded to modern standards and include a family room. All en-suite rooms have private verandahs offering views of Lake Malawi. Since branding of the hotel to Le Meridian is scheduled for 2001, the refurbishment and upgrading of the rest of the rooms will most likely take place by mid-2000, according to a spokesperson for the Livingstonia.
