KLM’S NEW Cape Town schedule came into effect March 26 2004, and runs until October 22, with the airline operating five flights per week into the city. The airline is offering special deals to selected destinations in Europe. Passengers flying from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Amsterdam; Aberdeen; Brussels; Birmingham; Copenhagen; Edinburgh; Frankfurt; Glasgow; London; Manchester; Milan; Paris; Vienna or Zurich can get a special ticket for R4 300. Business class passengers flying out of Cape Town can also travel with a companion for half price. One passenger will pay the full Iata rate, while the second will pay 50% of that rate. The fares are valid for departures between May 1 and June 30 and are subject to a minimum stay of seven days and a maximum stay of one month. Fares exclude taxes. (Lucy Siebert)
