SHERYL Ozinsky, gm of Cape Town Tourism, has resigned and her last day at the organisation will be June 30. “The last six years have been the most invigorating, and sometimes frustrating, of my career. I have been extremely fortunate to work with some talented and highly motivated people in both the private and public sectors who have given their expertise, time and imagination in moving Cape Town from being a nice, largely undiscovered location to being one of the top destinations in the world,” she said. Commenting on what her future plans are, Ozinsky said: “I have decided to take a long overdue break and spend some time being a tourist. It’s not often that you get an opportunity to reflect on what you would like to do with your life and your career. I will spend time contemplating where and how I can best use my expertise and passion for tourism and the city.” Ozinsky is currently completing her Masters degree at Stellenbosch University in Sustainable Development.
