A SERIES of new developments were unveiled by Oneworld, the global airline alliance comprising eight carriers, at the latest meeting of the alliance’s Governing Board in Hong Kong recently. These developments, seeking to deepen the level of co-operation between Oneworld members, will include the expansion of code-sharing between alliance members, the introduction of new types of tickets, improvements in the connections between member airlines’ networks and the launch of e-ticket interlining. E-ticket interlining will make it simpler for passengers to transfer between Oneworld carriers using the latest forms of travel ticketing. (Heather Ruddock)
