TWO key appointments at the Sandton Convention Centre were announced yesterday, ahead of the scheduled opening of the R360-million development in September this year. Christopher Trimble was appointed to the position of general manager, operations with effect from January 10, 2000. Trimble recently worked for the Carlton Hotel as its gm until its closure in 1998, whereafter he moved to Gallagher Estate in the capacity of gm of operations. Angeline Lue will take up the position of senior sales executive, special events as from February 1 this year. Lue joins the Sandton Convention Centre from the Gauteng Tourism Agency where she was employed as marketing manager. (Adele MacKenzie)
