CAPE Town’s Big Six attractions, the city’s thematic tourist route, has finalised its marketing plan for the year, which is aimed at increasing visitor numbers to the attractions, particularly locals. The Big Six consists of: Robben Island, Table Mountain Cable Way, Cape Point, Kirstenbosch, the V&A Waterfront and the Constantia Vineyards. The thematic route was designed two years ago as the members felt that a collective marketing drive would be more far-reaching and have a greater impact on potential markets. The strategy between the attractions include discounted rates during winter months and package specials. (Lucy Siebert)
